Planetarium technology has changed a lot over the past ten years, with programs becoming more sophisticated and immersive. And while the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium is proud to have the latest in digital audio-visual capabilities, we have not forgotten the fundamental purpose of a planetarium -- depicting a realistic night sky. We are therefore proud to offer the program Skies Over Jacksonville, a detailed live star show. While all planetarium presentations at the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium include a brief tour of the heavens, Skies Over Jacksonville is dedicated totally to the wonders of backyard stargazing. Visitors will join our planetarium educator in a journey across the sky as bright stars, asterisms, constellations and other surprises are identified and discussed. The presentation environment is that of a forum, not a lecture, so guests are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the adventure Skies Over Jacksonville lasts about 40 minutes and is recommended for ages 4 and up. Museum Admission PLUS Planetarium: Adult $15; Child 3-12 $13; Senior (55+) or Military $13. Shows daily at 2pm through 12/31/12 (except when the museum is closed) $15; $13 child
