COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course offers practitioners guidelines for assessment and interventions for dysfunctions of the lumbar region. The philosophies of this course will follow an orthopaedic manual therapy approach, which is a concept based on clinical reasoning (including the principles of evidence based decision making) through a thorough patient interview, followed by an effective and efficient examination with correlation of available diagnostic tests. Integration for effective interventions will be discussed and practiced including advanced manual therapy techniques. COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course attendees will be able to…1. Safely and effectively carry out a patient interview and examination for patients with lumbar spine dysfunction.2. Correlate the findings of the interview and examination with diagnostic tests to identify the primary tissue dysfunction and functional impairments of a patient with lumbar spine dysfunction.3. Safely and effectively provide manual therapy interventions for patients with lumbar spine dysfunction. INTENDED FOR: Physical Therapists
