Over the centuries artists, poets, philosophers, lovers, and dreamers have all tried to describe and romanticize time. But, how does science define time? Is it constant or fluid? Is it something that can be mastered and controlled? Join Thomas Webber, Director of the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium at the Museum of Science and History, as he takes us on a journey that begins with the whole of the cosmos and ends in the smallest recesses of the atom.
Free and open to the public Throughout SLOW: Marking Time in Photography and Film, the Museum will offer fun educational events to enhance appreciation and understanding of the various exhibition themes and provide broader historical context for these two important genres of contemporary art. Regular admission fees apply to visit the galleries either before or after the programs for non-members.Note: Seats will be held for individuals with tickets until 5 minutes before the scheduled event start. At that time, remaining seats will be filled on a first-come first-served basis.
