The 45th Annual Mandarin Art Festival is hosted by the Mandarin Community Club on Easter weekend, March 30 & 31. This festival draws thousands to Mandarin to see and buy beautiful original works of art. The event is held on the Community Club grounds (12447 Mandarin Road). Please park at the Mandarin Presbyterian Church and ride the shuttle bus, as there is scant parking in the area. The Mandarin Museum in Walter Jones Park will be open from 9-4 as usual on Saturday – the shuttle parking is just across the street from the park – so come on over the footbridge for a visit while in the area. Also open is the historic Mandarin Store and Post Office – from 10-5 both days. Please drop by to visit, watch a DVD about Miss Aggie, shop at our bookstore, or listen to some great acoustic music. MMHS has partnered with the North Florida Folk Network to provide some music each day. There will be chairs out under the oaks next to the store so you can take a rest and listen a while to these talented musicians. The music schedule is: Saturday, March 30 1-1:45 Ron Johnson and Ron Spencer (original Florida folk) 2-2:45 Al Poindexter and River Rise (original Florida folk) 3-3:45 Meridian (celtic) Sunday, March 31 12-2 The Homesteaders (bluegrass)
