Jewish Family and Community Services and Players by the Sea are pleased to announce, the presentation a production of : The Whipping Boy by Matthew Lopez.
JFCS will be hosting a fundraiser on Thursday evening, November 21st at the Jacksonville Beach community theatre, Players by the Sea.
All box office proceeds for the 7:30 p.m. production of “The Whipping Man” will be donated to JFCS. General admission tickets are $35 and include at 6:15 p.m. reception before the show. Tickets can be purchased through the JFCS website.
“The Whipping Man” is the story of a Jewish Confederate soldier who returns to his childhood home following the Civil War, only to find it in ruins and occupied by his former slaves. The captivating story weaves past secrets with connected history and shared faith, culminating in a shocking climax.
