"Mortar by mortar, shell by shell, only gonna stop when I send 'em to hell."
The lyrics to one of the videos made by Omar Hammami, known as the "rapping jihandist.
Hammimi was born in Daphne, Alabama to a Christian mother and a Muslim father.
He was the president of his sophomore class and took AP courses in school when he was young.
But he soon grew radical and eventually joined al-Qaeda.
His YouTube videos and the unusual way he spread his views of radical Islam are what earned him his unique title.
Hammami was reportedly killed by members of his own terrorist group after a falling out with leaders in Somalia.
The former American was upset with higher ups who were living lavish lifestyles off taxes collected from ground fighters.
He also wanted to spread his war but he was frustrated because they weren't interested in fighting outside Somalia.
There have been reports of Hammami's death before only to have him show up again later.
In April he tweeted (yes, a terrorist on Twitter) “just been shot in the neck by shabab assassin. Not critical yet.
He then added "abu zubayr has gone mad. He’s starting a civil war."
But a reporter following the movement of terrorists says "I think it's very likely true based on the sources I am seeing."
The FBI considered Hammami one of the most dangerous American born terrorists prompting a hefty bounty of $5 million dollars on his head.
