The information containing female officer’s height, weight and bra sizes were part of an order for bullet-proof vests and was supposed to remain private.
But when the email went out to officers telling them their vests were available to pick up it contained everything, including cup sizes.
“On the third page, the females were listed. Unfortunately and embarrassingly, the cup sizes of the females were listed on that third page, and it was really just a clerical error," Assistant Chief James White explained to MyFoxDetroit.
No one caught the mistake until the email had already gone out and to make matters worse, some of the female officers are getting guff over it.
Several say they have heard too many comments to let it go and are filing grievances over the treatment.
Police leaders in Detroit assure they will handle the situation saying "once we complete our investigation, there will be corrective action."
