It’s called the Burritobox, and it’s getting a lot of love on social media.
“This is the future I always dreamed of!! “@blazenfluff: Hot burritos available from vending machines,” one proclaimed.
The burritos are antibiotic and hormone free and are served hot for the bargain price of $3 each.
One foodie in LA where the first kiosk was unveiled told CBS Los Angeles, “I don’t think it’s gonna beat out some of the local spots in LA, but in a pinch, can’t go wrong.”
The machine carries several combinations and flavors.
You can munch on bacon and egg, egg and cheese, or chicken, beans and rice among others.
KCAL-TV invited people to try the offerings and give an opinion.
Thomas Gibbons tried one, and wasn’t terribly impressed.
“For the price it’s pretty good, it’s a little bland,” he began. “I would probably equate it to a burrito you would buy and microwave.”
But so far, the machine is a big hit. A check on Tuesday night found it sold out.
