How do you like your soup, tepid, piping hot, or deep fried?
No, that’s not a misprint.
Shades of the state fair but the folks at KFC are unveiling the unusual creation in their Japanese locations in the next few weeks.
We wondered about the logistics of that as well so with a little digging here’s what we found.
RocketNews24 reports there is a staple food in Japan described as a creamy soup corn potage.
They refer to it as a “common fixture in Japanese cafes.”
Now the same folks who brought you a sandwich that used two chicken breasts for bread will deep fry that product to create a corn potage fritter.
KFC Japan put it more simply saying, “we bread the corn potage and cook it to a crisp.”
OK, that sounds good.
Now for the bad news. No soup on a stick for the US.
The company says the unique offering will only be made available in Japan and only for a limited time.
Makes me want to take another run at my deep fried sushi.
