It’s James T. Kirk’s world, we’re just living in it. .
The device is called Sigmo, it’s a small square that can be worn on a chain around the neck.
Just select the language you want translated and speak into Sigmo. It sends your voice to a cloud based system that connects though Bluetooth and your own smart phone. Just seconds after you send the request, Sigmo plays it back so anyone near you can hear.
Asking where the bathroom is in Mandarin just got a LOT easier.
You need a fast internet hookup for the system to be at its best.
The company has been finalizing the device for several weeks but the first shipping to customers is due this month.
