The Gators still have unsold tickets for the season opener, but are on track to sell out four of their five other football home games.
A spokesman for the University Athletic Association said the program has roughly 8,000 unsold tickets left for the Aug. 31 kickoff against Toledo.
The Nov. 30 regular-season finale against Florida State is sold out, and the Sept. 21 showdown with Tennessee is close. That game was sold out prior to UT returning a relatively small number of its tickets.
The spokesman said the Arkansas (Oct. 5) and Vanderbilt (Nov. 9) games have seats available but “are on pace to sell out.”
There was no update for Nov. 23, when Florida hosts FCS team Georgia Southern.
The Gators list official capacity for Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at 88,548, though it has held up to 90,907. Last season, Florida was at 88,000 or higher in three of seven home games. It did not sell out against Bowling Green, Kentucky, Louisiana-Lafayette and Jacksonville State.
