Kenny Boynton snapped out of his shooting slump and drove No. 13 Florida to a 61-51 victory over Alabama in the SEC tournament semifinals.
The Gators will face Ole Miss or Vanderbilt in tomorrow’s tournament championship (1 p.m., ABC). Those teams play today at 3:30 p.m.
Boynton, who was 22/70 in his previous seven games, came alive with 16 points on 6-for-12 shooting. He scored 11 points in Florida’s 15-0 run during the second half, propelling the team from a 37-27 deficit to a 42-37 lead.
Patric Young also gave Florida a big game with 13 points, nine rebounds and a blocked shot.
