Jaguars tight end Lewis bristles after sub-par practice for offense | jacksonville.com
Fed up with a second consecutive sub-par workout, Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis gathered all of his offensive teammates for a measured, but to-the-point lecture following Tuesday’s practice.Lewis said his message was to "just relax," but also to be better.Monday’s execution was the poorest of training camp and Tuesday’s execution was nearly as sloppy.
Inside the Jaguars: Reynolds gets "great opportunity"
Whatever the circumstance, his approach is the same. LaRoy Reynolds figured he has no other choice, just as he had no choice in his approach since signing with the Jaguars as a rookie free agent shortly after the 2013 NFL Draft. Compete. Work every day. And yes, get better. That’s Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley’s mantra, as it is for any rookie free agent, so Reynolds -- a linebacker from the University of Virginia – figures there’s no reason to change this week, just because he’s working with the first team for the first time.
Jaguars add LB Andy Studebaker
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed sixth-year linebacker Andy Studebaker to a contract and waived rookie kicker Adam Yates, the club announced today. Studebaker, 6-3, 248, has played in 70 career games with eight starts, all with Kansas City. His career totals include 45 special teams tackles, 83 tackles (61 solo) on defense, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions. Studebaker was originally a sixth-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2008. He spent the majority of his rookie season on the Eagles practice squad before he was signed to the Chiefs active roster where he remained until his release on April 1, 2013.
