Sunny, hot and humid through Saturday, then tropical trouble. Accuweather's Heather Zehr is tracking the formation of Tropical Storm Beryl east of the Carolinas and Georgia. It would eventually move southwest starting Sunday, which is when heavy rain is most likely.

Heather Zehr is watching an area of moisture east of the Carolinas. Computer models say that if this does form it kind of wanders off to the southwest and could affect the Florida Peninsula during the early part of next week. It's possible that this could become a named tropical system, Beryl.

Lurking about 100 miles east of Jacksonville is a Tropical Storm. But Alberto is not a threat to make landfall. Accuweather Meteorlogist Dan Pydynowski says a cold front is going to push the storm away from us. We'll see rough surf and rip currents at the beaches today.
