The man was described as “cool and calm, but you could tell he was shaken up," after he walked into a McDonald's with a knife in his back.
The New York Post reports Green was “chatting on a cellphone” when he walked in.
"I don't know if he was in shock or what the situation was, but he was fine. It was like, 'Just another day in the hood,'" another witness told the Daily News.
Michel Green is a friend of the victim. Green told the Post, “I went to pull the knife out, but someone said, 'No, no! It might have hit an artery!'"
One worker in the area claims the incident followed a robbery in an area known for drugs and gang activity.
New York police say the man with the kinfe in the back will be fine after being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
