While shopping at Shep’s Salvage on Sunday, Heather Goodall said she found expired baby formula on sale.
Goodall tells Action News Jax, “I went over to the baby aisle and there’s infant formula over there that is actually from 2014, 2015. It really should not be sold to anybody.”

According to FDA guidelines, food can be sold past its expiration date, but infant formula cannot.
We went to Shep’s and found a shelf full of outdated formula.
When we talked to William "Shep" Ellison, the owner, he said the store doesn’t typically sell infant formula.
He explained that the current supply was there because of employee error.
It’s unclear how much has been sold to actual customers.
Goodall works in the medical field and said the mistake is one that could make babies seriously ill.
She explains, “Especially for newborns, anything can upset their stomachs, anything.”
Shep said the expired formula will be removed from shelves in his store.
