More than ten weeks after Sandy hit the Northeast, more volunteers are on the way.
The Northeast Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross is sending one more volunteer to New York to join the nearly one thousand volunteers still helping with relief in New York and New Jersey. Volunteers right now are focusing on providing food to the hardest hit areas, staffing mobile feeding sites, and helping with home repairs.
The Red Cross says recovery efforts moving forward will mainly involve working one-on-one with those who need extra help. This could last several months.
