St. Augustine police charge teen in connection to multiple burglaries, 2nd suspect still sought

Jacksonville, FL — After a string of recent burglaries at both businesses and homes, the St. Augustine Police Department is identifying two men they believe to be responsible.

According to police, Danny Kiswani, 27, and Shadi Ashdji, 18, were in a vehicle, identified by multiple witnesses, who called police about burglaries in progress.

After what the department calls a 'lengthy' investigation, police say Ashdji and Kiswani have been charged with numerous felonies. However, we're told the investigation is still ongoing and more charges are expected.

Ashdji is currently charged with four counts of felony mischief and is behind bars in St. Johns County. Meanwhile, Kiswani has four active felony warrants, but is still wanted. He's believed to be in the Lake Mary/Seminole County area.

Police have not released what burglaries the two have been connected to, only that they've believed to be responsible for two business smash-and-grabs on December 28th and burglaries at multiple residences inside two gated communities on the same day.
