A child is dead after a car accident in Putnam County.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports it happened off Clifton Rd. and U.S. 17 around 9 a.m. Sunday.
A 74-year-old man driving a Ford Explorer hit a Dodge Caravan. The van went off the shoulder and spun around before stopping.
FHP says five children were in the van and two were ejected. One of them died and it is believed to be a 3-year-old.
Charges are pending.
