Dunn, Davis camps weigh in as deliberations enter day three

Day three of jury deliberations in the Michael Dunn trial is set to begin at 9 a.m. Friday and we’re hearing from both sides of the case after another long day of waiting on Thursday.

"We're just patiently waiting. We believe that justice will be served and no matter what happens, we'll move forward," said Lucia McBath, Jordan Davis' mother.

McBath spoke for the first time since the trial began and says she’s just ready for some closure. Jordan’s father Ron says no matter what the outcome he’s going to be respectful.

"If we get the verdict we want, his family isn't going to smile. They're going to have tears in their eyes and I'm going to be very respectful of that."

We also talked with Michael Dunn’s attorney Corey Strolla last night. He says it’s been culture shock for Dunn to say the least, going from living a nice life on the beach with his fiancée to being accused of murdering a teenager in cold blood. Strolla says Dunn knows his future is in the jury’s hands.

"He understands the consequences but again, how do you prepare for something like that?"

Michael Dunn's father, Philip Dunn, had a short message as he left the courthouse Thursday night.

"Let the jury do their jobs."
