That will likely be the sentiment from an elderly woman who will return home months after suffering a brutal attack during a home invasion.
Ann Dugger with the Justice Coalition says a few days after an attack in April, 72-year-old Marti William's home was set on fire. With no nearby family or friends she was forced into a convalescent home.
"She was beaten, she was choked, she was robbed, she was left for dead."
With the support of the community including the Justice Coalition, she now returns to a newly, renovated home. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, volunteers, and others will welcome Marti to her home on Hollyhock Circle in Jacksonville at 5pm Friday.
