The improvement process continues for Florida's voting system. Duval Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland joined eight other supervisors from across the state to discuss how Florida can be better prepared the next time you cast your ballot. "Part of our delay in unofficial results, was the time it takes to post voter history from paper election day registers - a paper system that should be replaced by electronic poll books," said Holland. The elections officials also told the state Senate panel the ballot amendments need to be shorter and easier to understand. Recommendations were also brought up to have the county supervisors control their own early voting locations and times. Also, to keep early voting between 8 and 14 days long.
