Family and friends celebrate the life of Tiphne Hollis

For the first time in nearly four years Shonda Hollis returned to the very spot where she buried her daughter.

"This was hard for me, this is my first time coming to the cemetery," Hollis said.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate what would've been Tiphne Hollis' 20th birthday.
Tiphne was shot and killed while riding in a car in 2010 when she was hit by a stray bullet.
Her killers have never been found.

"They took somebody very precious away from me, from her family, from her friends, and I just pray that one day they just turn themselves in," Hollis said.

Hollis told Action News the healing process has been rough for her and her family.
Today they released twenty purple balloons and got a chance to share memories of Tiphne together.

"She was a good girl, she was special, her presence was just amazing," said Retonia Watts

Though Hollis can't bring Tiphne back, her mother vows to fight for justice as long as it takes.

"I just want to see justice. I'll never get closure but I do want to get closure to get those people off the street from hurting somebody else," Hollis said.

Hollis said she walks around the neighborhood where she was killed every 20th day of each month at 5:30 pm.
Also, she started foundations in her name.

A $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who has information about the case.
