The Justice Coalition and Nunley family announced a $15,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in an unsolved murder case.

The announcement was made to the public Thursday that the family of 19-year-old Thomas (TJ) Nunley would put out a sizeable reward. Police say the teen was found lying dead partially in the roadway on Fort Caroline Road last December. Investigators say he had been working on a music project and left his house to go on a walk to clear his mind.

Ann Dugger with the Justice coalition says she hopes the reward will prompt the public to come forward with new information.

“The Nunley family is willing to reward that person that can come forward with information that leads to a conviction for this murder.”

Police say the teen had no known enemies. Dugger says anyone with information should not be afraid to contact police.

“We’re looking for leads to come in, we’re looking for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office to get more information that they might be able to make an arrest and justice may be served.”

Anyone with information can anonymously call police at (904) 630-0500 or call First Coast Crimestoppers at (866) 845-TIPS.
