Family: No one's seen missing woman since Thanksgiving morning

She's been missing since Thanksgiving morning.

Now the family of a 29-year-old nursing student and mother of two hopes someone out there can tell them where Ashley Brown might be.

Darlene Green says she filed a missing person report with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office soon after her daughter's car was found abandoned on the Mathews Bridge with the engine still running and the door open.

"I don't know if she's hurt," Green noted. "I don't know if she's somewhere against her will."

Ashley's mom calls it her worst nightmare and tells us all her daughter's personal items were still in the car except for her phone, which was found near the trunk.

She also says Ashley wasn't found during a marine and air search done soon after the car was found on the bridge and that no one's heard from her since she texted her sister Thanksgiving morning.

"She loved her children and I know she wouldn't have left her children," Green stated. "I know my daughter did not commit suicide. I know she didn't jump off of that bridge. I know that from my heart."

Brown plans to graduate from nursing school in the spring, according to her family.

We've asked JSO this morning for the incident report as well as what they plan to do next.
