The Office of Health and Human Services has given Florida a thumbs up on their proposal to revamp the Medicaid program for seniors who need long-term care.
The waiver would allow the state to enroll individuals in managed care plans statewide.
It also allows Florida to select those who qualify for long-term care at home or other community settings, rather than a nursing home.
The Governor is requesting another waiver gain the feds approval to allow even more flexibility within Medicaid.
