Holiday homecoming for 500 Mayport Sailors

Nearly 500 Mayport Sailors will get a holiday homecoming.

The USS De Wert and USS The Sullivans are returning from six month deployments Monday morning.

This is the USS De Wert’s final scheduled deployment. The frigate is scheduled to be decommissioned early next year. She carries more than 200 Sailors.

She will be accompanied on her trip in to port by her sister ship, the USS The Sullivans. This ship, and her more than 250 Sailors, has been working in the 5^th Fleet Area of Responsibility. The USS The Sullivan conducted operations with carrier strike groups, maritime security operations, theater security cooperation engagements and bilateral exercises.
