Jacksonville, FL — As Florida Forest crews mop up what’s left of the Garfield Road Fire in western Nassau County, they’re asking you to be very careful. Our fire danger is quite high.
There are more than 70 active wildfires burning across the state, according to the Florida Forest Service.
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says it turns even warmer and stays mostly dry through the week.
“The winds won’t be overly strong but the humidity will be pretty low, the temperatures will be warm and of course, we’re dry”, said Buresh.
Some inland spots could soar to near 90 degrees by the middle and end of the week.
