Jacksonville, FL — It caused issues all Monday afternoon for downtown drivers.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on I-95 at 8th Street, involving 7 vehicles, one of which was a semi.
Sergeant Dylan Bryan tells WOKV the investigation is still in the preliminary stage, but it appears to have started with an improper lane change.

"Preliminary information shows the tractor trailer and another vehicle were traveling southbound and that vehicle violated its right-of-way, by making an improper lane change, causing that tractor trailer to take evasive action. Upon doing so, the tractor trailer lost control and ultimately forced three vehicles into the concrete barrier wall in the center of the roadway," explains Bryan.

He says one of the vehicles went up and over the concrete barrier wall, as did the tractor trailer's cab, which is why lanes had to be closed in both directions.
We're told 4 people were taken to the hospital, but, thankfully, FHP describes their injuries as minor.
Bryan says if the confirm that one of the vehicles did do an improper lane change, then charges will be filed against that driver.
