Jacksonville, Fl. — A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was first on the scene after getting the call by the Jacksonville Region Communication Center about a plane crash on State Road 100 near County Road 201.
FHP says the plane was in the left lane of State Road 100, it was identified as a 1968 Mooney M20C with a Lycoming engine.
The pilot who has been identified as 35-year-old Stevan Locki says shortly after refueling at the Flagler Airport, the plane begun to lose all power as his engine and all electronics on board while he and his passenger 34-year-old Brandi Bishop were mid-flight.
The westbound traffic lanes of SR100 are now open. We're working on re-opening eastbound traffic, stay tuned. #FlaglerBeach pic.twitter.com/hzSgM63trR

Locki told troopers that he had no choice but to land the plane on County Road 100 since traffic was clear before landing.
The Flagler Air and Exchange removed the plane from the road and transported to their facility for further investigation.
FHP says the FAA and NTSB will be conducting a separate investigation.
