Jacksonville, FL - We’ve learned more about the charges facing one Jacksonville man who turned himself in to police earlier today.
A police report we obtained lists ten charges facing 48-year-old Floyd Thomas Rupp, all dealing with sexual abuse on a minor. The charges date back to 2006.
Rupp is being charged with 4 counts of sexual battery on a victim under 12 years old, 4 counts of sexual battery on a victim between 12 and 18 years old, 1 count of lewd/lascivious molestation by a person older than 18 on a victim under 12 years old, and 1 count of lewd/lascivious molestation by an offender older than 18 on a victim over 12 years old but under 16.
Police say Rupp exhibited signs of suicidal behavior or attempts at the time of his arrest.
He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Saturday.
The warrant for Rupp was authorized by police this morning. He turned himself in to police and was booked around 2 PM. He’s being held on more than $550,000 bond.
