JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jaguars President Mark Lamping tells WOKV News the construction of the new Everbank Field video boards is tracking on schedule and on budget.
Fans will get a good look at the work-in-progress during the team’s draft party Thursday night from 6 to 10 p.m.
“The agreement that the Jaguars have with the City of Jacksonville is that if the project does come in over-budget, the Jaguars will be responsible for covering any over-budget situations,” Lamping says.
The video boards will be unveiled July 26th after the Fullham FC soccer club faces the D.C. United. The debut of the boards will be followed by a Carrie Underwood performance.
“It’s really going to make Everbank feel distinctive,” Lamping says.
Construction also includes new platforms with cabanas, water features and two swimming pools.
“When people see that stadium all across the country, they’ll think of Jacksonville and all the wonderful things this community has to offer.”
