St. Johns man rescued from swamp after four days alone

Four days alone in a swamp and he's found alive.
A 55 year-old St. Johns County man is recovering after a dramatic rescue from a swampy area of Flagler County.
Guss Baker got lost on property at the Turkey Island Hunt Club last Thursday.

When Fish and Wildlife officers found him early Monday he was perched on a stump, and shivering.
The swampy area was thick with impenetrable vines, bushes and trees, and it was pitch black despite the full moon.

FWC says its officers kept yelling the man's name over and over again. "GUSS! GUSS! Are you there? GUSS, we have food and water, and want to help you!"
They finally heard a faint response, leading police to call in a helicopter and hoist Baker to safety.
We're told he is expected to make a full recovery.
