JSO: Body recovered from St. Johns River was shipyard employee, no foul play suspected

Jacksonville, FL — More than a week after a body was pulled out of the St. Johns River, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is updating the investigation.

Police are now identifying the body as Atakorah Padmore, 34. We're told he was an employee at the North Florida Shipyard and was last seen falling into the river from a bulkhead at the shipyard on Sunday, January 21st.  Both a marine search and an air search of the area were carried out, but turned up empty.

Padmore's body was later spotted in the 1900 block of Talleyrand Avenue on February 2nd.

JSO says this continues to be an active investigation, but they do not suspect foul play.
