Jacksonville, FL - Jacksonville police are looking for this sharp-dressed scam artist.
Police say he fooled a 69-year-old woman into giving him money and jewelry with his story of discovering a bunch of money and needing collateral.
JSO says it happened in mid-January outside the Walmart on San Jose Blvd in Mandarin. The 69-year-old victim says the guy said he found a bunch of money, and if she paid him as collateral, she would get some of the big haul.
A woman who was with the man drove the victim to the bank where they withdrew money from her account. Police would not say how much was withdrawn.
We're not told how much money she gave them. Police say they are looking for a man and woman. We don't have a photo of the female suspect at this time.
Anyone who has information about the identity or location of the suspects is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at (904) 630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
