Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after an off-duty firefighter had his personal truck stolen, while he was helping victims of a crash early Friday morning.
According to the incident report from JSO, the JFRD firefighter was driving on North Myrtle Avenue when a traffic crash happened right in front of him.
He told police he jumped out of his truck to help the victims and render first aid. He says while helping the crash victims, two young men got into his truck and started driving away, hitting a fence in the process.

The report describes the first suspect as a black teen, between 15 and 18-years-old, and about 5'7''. The other suspect is said to be a black teen, also between 15 and 18-years-old. However, he's believed to be much taller, between 6'2'' and 6'4".
The stolen truck is said to be a gold 2008 Ford F-250 Series, with JFRD and US Marine Corps stickers in the back window. There's also said to be a JFRD license plate mounted on the front bumper, with a Chrome Grill Guard attached.
Police say there's also likely to be damage to the truck's left rear bumper and tailgate, from the suspects backing into the fence.
