A man from Jacksonville is accused of confronting and later shooting someone he knew Tuesday.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Terrance J. Sopenasky shot and killed someone he knew at Sopenasky's home, on Cancun Drive.
Police said Sopenasky got into arguments with Kenneth S. Jackson, Jr. earlier that day. He then asked Jackson to go to his home, according to JSO.
Once Jackson showed up in his car, police said, Sopenasky shot at Jackson's car several times.
According to JSO, Jackson died at the scene.
Sopenasky is charged with murder in the death of Jackson and attempted murder because Jackson's friends were in his car at the time of the shooting.
Police took Sopenasky to the Duval County Jail.
