Jacksonville, FL - A man already in prison for allegations of sex crimes against two 15-year-old girls is now charged with trying to have his victims killed.
The State Attorney’s Office tells us they obtained a letter written by 32-year-old Daniel Lowry describing his victims and detailing how, where and when to kill them. The letter allegedly said Lowry wanted them dead so they couldn’t testify against him. An SAO investigator went undercover as the man hired for the murder and recovered the gun identified by the letter as the intended murder weapon.
Lowry was already in Duval County Jail for charges of lewd or lascivious battery, lewd or lascivious molestation, and lewd or lascivious exhibition against the girls. If convicted, he already faces up to 15 years in prison for each of those counts.
He has now been charged with two counts of criminal solicitation as well. If convicted, he’s facing up to 30 years in prison for each of those new charges.
Lowry’s next court date is now set for September 11.
