Jacksonville, FL - An arrest in the multiple robberies that have happened where you shop and work.
Michael Allen Lee is arrested for five robberies occurring in the last 30 days in the Mandarin area. Lee was robbing pharmacies for hydrocodone pills.
“During the holdups he would claim to have a gun and then would tell the pharmacist that his wife had cancer and then threaten to start shooting the pharmacy up if he did not receive the pills,” says Director of Investigation and Homeland Security for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Mike Williams.
The first and second robberies occurred within just 20 minutes of each other during the afternoon, on Sunday, May 12th. He first went to the Walgreens on San Jose Blvd. near 295. After giving his demands to the pharmacist, he got tired of waiting and went to the Publix on Old St. Augustine Rd. just off of 295. There he obtained one thousand hydrocodone pills.
The third robbery took place on Thursday, May 30th at the Publix on San Jose Blvd. near 295. He took 500 hydrocodone pills from the pharmacy.

As he was leaving, he was confronted by employees but he threatened them with a knife and was able to flee the scene.
During the robberies, JSO received the information that Lee was driving a white Ford Explorer. At 9 p.m. on June 13th JSO received a call from a citizen claiming to see a man meeting Lee’s description at the Wal-Mart on San Jose Blvd. right off of 295 purchasing a money order.
