The mayor is responding to allegations that a Jacksonville Fire chief used the "N" word during a staff meeting.

"Clearly we shouldn't be using that type of language" said Mayor Alvin Brown.

A black engineer accuses Fire marshall Kevin Jones of using the word at a meeting before the Rockville Concert.

Tom Francis with JFRD says they will not comment as the investigation is ongoing.
