Nassau deputies identify body found near dumpster

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office said no foul play is suspected after a woman was found dead near a dumpster Sunday.

Deputies said 47-year-old Heide Drakus was found lying on the ground unresponsive next to a construction dumpster on a vacant lot at Nottingham Drive and South 14th Street.

Drakus had recent medical issues and foul play is not believed to be involved in her death, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

However, deputies said the incident will remain under investigation pending toxicology and autopsy from the medical examiner.
