Still no arrests made nearly two weeks after a fatal shooting at Nippers Beach Grill, but Jacksonville Beach Police say they know who fired the gun.
Police say a fight broke out in the parking lot involving a group of men from two different motorcycle clubs. During the fight, one gun shot was fired. It hit 40-year-old Zachariah Tipton, who was involved in the fight and died as a result.
Jacksonville Beach Police confirm they have filed the case with the State Attorney’s Office, although no arrests have been made at this point and no charges have been filed against anyone involved. Until an arrest is made, police are withholding the identity of the suspected shooter and others involved.
The State Attorney’s Office tells WOKV there is no timeline for when they will make a decision on whether charges should be filed in this case. Jacksonville Beach Police say they continue their investigation.
