North Florida TPO asking drivers to fill out new transportation survey, offering prizes

Jacksonville, FL — It could improve your daily commute--- plus, there are prizes up for grabs.

The North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation, are conducting a 'North Florida Travel Survey.'

Marci Larson with North Florida TPO, says the survey is all about understanding residents' transportation needs, so they can better plan for the future.

"The effort is to hear from people who are out on the roads everyday, and to feedback to us, in terms of a variety of questions that are included on the survey," explains Larson.

Larson says the data collected will help as the North Florida TPO begins developing their 2045 transportation plan.

This particular survey includes travel patterns in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns counties.

Larson says they're hoping for 4,000 to 5,000 people to fill out the survey and to help get that number, they're offering incentives.

Following each survey completion, each participating household will be entered into a drawing. The grand prize is the iPhone X; winners can also get one of 25 $100 Amazon or Walmart gift cards.

The survey is underway now and will end in late November.
