JACKSONVILLE, Fl. - One man was wounded after a shooting on the Northside Thursday morning.
The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. in a neighborhood on Manatee Drive.
The victim was shot in the arm, and managed to drive himself to the River Oak Apartments following the shooting. From there he was taken to UF Health with non-life threatening injuries.
Right now 14 homes on Manatee Drive are without power, because the suspect hit a transformer while fleeing the scene.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the victim knew the suspect. The victim and suspect have not been identified at this time.
This shooting is just the latest in a wave of violent crimes across the city. In the last 31 days, 34 people have been shot in Jacksonville.
