One dead after boat capsizes off Little Talbot Island

We’ve confirmed that one person is dead after a boat capsizes off Little Talbot Island.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue tells us one adult male was pulled from the water.  He suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.  The other adult male was dead on the scene.

The boat capsized around 2 PM today roughly 200 yards off the coast.  It was a 19 foot vessel and the reason it capsized has not yet been determined.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission tells WOKV it is very early in the investigation, so the cause of death is not yet confirmed, nor is the cause for the capsizing.
