One dead in Westside apartment shooting

Jacksonville, FL. — Jacksonville Police are investigating an overnight shooting at the Windy Pine Apartments on 103rd Street.

Upon arrival, police say they found 29-year-old Henry Martinez in front of his apartment unit in the doorway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.

Detectives are on scene interviewing witnesses, who also include the victim’s girlfriend who was in the home at the time.

At this point in the investigation, there were no signs that this was a home invasion and a gun has not been recovered.

JSO has not identified a suspect.
