Orange Park, FL - It's all a misunderstanding.
That's what the owner of an Orange Park dispensary says after her business is raided by police for selling items laced with the active ingredient in marijuana without a license.
CBD Dispensary on Kingsley Avenue near US 17 is closed around two weeks after it opened following a joint task force raid on Tuesday led by the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies tell us the store wasn't following any of the requirements of a dispensary and was also selling items infused with tetrahydrocannabinol - the ingredient in marijuana which gets you high - to people without prescriptions.
But store owner Logan Redmond says she is allowed to sell items like oils, lotions and brownies with a small amount of THC inside under the Charlotte's Web law.
"They came in like we were some kind of cocaine dealers," Redmond added. "I think they don't have all their facts straight and they just jumped the gun."
Orange Park passed a moratorium on medical marijuana businesses in October, over two weeks before Florida voters approved an amendment legalizing medical marijuana.
