Jacksonville, FL None - The Jaguars send Wayne and Delores Weaver out on a high note.
At halftime of the Jaguars' 19-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Jaguars honored their outgoing owners with a video tribute and gifts.
The team presented the team's founders with a pair of gold-plated helmets -- but it was another gift that no one saw coming that stirred the emotions.
In a surprise move, the Jaguars inducted the Weavers into the Pride of the Jaguars ring of honor.
The tarp covering the names of Wayne and Delores Weaver was colored in the same pattern as the facade dividing the lower and upper bowl of the stadium's west stands, effectively camouflaging it.
"I had no idea that was going on," an emotional Weaver told reporters after the game.
Weaver said he will continue going to Jaguars games despite no longer being the team's owner.
"Delores and I haven't missed a game in the 17 seasons -- 352 games," Weaver said. "We won't make every game in the future, but we'll make most."
