A man in his 20’s died on the corner of Blanding Boulevard and Belmont Boulevard early Friday morning after a car hit him, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the man stepped off the curb while walking his bike when a car turning onto Blanding northbound struck him.
The victim died on scene, according to officials.
FHP knows the identity of the victim, but will not release the information until his next-of-kin have been notified of the death.
WOKV is told the driver was not speeding and stayed on scene after the incident.
No charges have been filed.
Northbound lanes of Blanding were blocked for the investigation, but opened again around 8 a.m.
