PHOTOS: Jax Beach Police search for bank robber

Jacksonville Beach Police are hoping these surveillance photos will lead them to the person responsible for a bank robbery today.

Around 9:30 AM, police were dispatched to the Atlantic Coast Bank on 1700 3^rd Street South.  Witnesses tell officers a man came in the bank, approached a teller, demanded money and then left.

The man is described as a heavy-set white male, 5’11”, aged in his 30s or 40s.  He was last seen wearing a dark colored t-shirt, dark pants and a plain blue ball cap.

He was last seen driving south on A1A and may have been driving a dark Chevy Silverado.
